Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope you and your family enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with rest, relaxation, and memorable moments with those you love. As we open our doors for another exciting year, our entire staff is thrilled to welcome back returning students and extend a warm greeting to all the new families joining our Laurentian community.

Supporting the Whole Child
We know that students are most successful when they feel safe, supported, and connected at school. This year, we are excited to expand our student support team by adding an additional Student Support Person. With two dedicated staff members serving in these roles, we will be able to provide even greater support to students throughout the school day.

Our Student Support team works closely with students to help them build confidence, develop positive relationships, manage emotions, and strengthen problem-solving skills. They also help students navigate peer conflicts, make positive choices, develop self-regulation strategies, and overcome challenges that may impact learning. By providing both academic and social-emotional support, our Student Support team helps students feel connected, capable, and ready to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

We are excited to have two caring professionals working alongside our students this year and know their support will make a meaningful difference in helping every child thrive.

Our modern school facility was built to nurture every aspect of your child’s growth—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Throughout the week, students will have access to:

• Makerspace & Science Room: Innovative spaces where students design, build, experiment, and explore STEM concepts through hands-on learning.
• Indoor Playground & Courtyard: All-weather spaces that promote movement, recreation, and outdoor learning.
• Commons Area & Athletic Field: Welcoming gathering spaces that encourage community building, collaboration, and outdoor activity.

Get Involved: Laurentian Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
A strong partnership between home and school is essential for student success. The Laurentian PTA plays an invaluable role in supporting our students and staff through school events, classroom resources, and community enrichment.

Whether you can give a little time or a lot, your involvement makes a meaningful difference. Joining the PTA is a wonderful way to connect with other families, stay informed, and positively impact your child’s school experience.
